Join us for a week of kayaking on the unspoiled rivers of Oaxaca.
Oaxaca trips feature full days pool-drop
whitewater. The big question is:
How do you say Oaxaca? Wa-ha'- ka. Wa like in water, ha like in haha, ka like in come to Oaxaca! The coast of Oaxaca has some of the best whitewater in Mexico. Long complex rapids, tight bedrock
canyons and a wilderness setting on the river. The rivers are clean and warm. The rapids weave between
giant granite boulders. Each river has a distinct character.
This is a week of paddling
great rapids in the perfect tropical climate.
We stay in the small resort town of la Crucecita and head out to
the river every morning. It's a nice combination of complete wilderness
on the water and a quaint beach resort in the evenings. If you want to
bring a non-kayaker on a trip this is the one.
The four quality runs for our trips are within easy striking distance of La Crucita: Hamacas, Alamania, Zimatan Canyon and Upper Zimatan. Plus the Rio Grande is just a little to the North and the Yuviaga only a little deeper in the sierra. Check the Calendar
