| Who
we are . . . Agua Azul is a small adventure travel company
specializing in kayak and surf adventures in Mexico. We've
been exploring and paddling the rivers and coast of Mexico since 1989.
Agua Azul offers whitewater trips on the tourquoise waters of the Santa
Maria the coastal rivers Oaxaca state. Each area has its own unique
qualities. We offer a variety of surf camps in Guerrero as well.
Mexico has a unique culture that is as beautiful as the rivers and beaches.
Our trips give you a rare glimpse of rural Mexican culture. We limit the
size of our trips in order to protect the undiscovered feeling of the
area.
Our guides are expert kayakers and experienced instructors
with a strong background in river safety. They speak Spanish and know
the area and local customs. They are dedicated paddlers and surfers selected
for their ability to share their knowledge and expertise with others.
Whether someone wants to know the "line" through a rapid or wants some
pointers on paddling technique, as professionals we are ready to help
or offer advice.

Rancho Agua Azul's is a beautiful
jungle retreat. Our secluded location at the take-out for Cascadas Micos
provides us with the best river access in the area. A small rapid and large
pool give us an excellent whitewater classroom. The clean sandy beach is
perfect for taking in the afternoon sun. The murmur of the rapids lull us
to sleep in the evenings and the cry of parrots wake us in the morning.
Our lodge, is rustic, yet comfortable, with a dining area, hot showers,
and most of the comforts of home.
